OUR MIDTERM EXAM WILL BE OVER 2 DAYS:

We have been studying for it all week.
Work not completed in class will be tarea.
There was no tarea assigned before break, but hopefully you have been studying for the midterms. This is what I suggested:
If you want to be more prepared for your midterms, you may want to do some Quizlets once in awhile, look over your notes, practice speaking Spanish with a classmate....etc.
This is a reminder that as stated in my syllabus, I do not give credit for late work. Homework not turned in at the beginning of class when it is due, will receive 49%. However, homework that was turned in on time (and complete) may be redone for a better grade.
Tarea means homework. Examencito means quiz.

Yo puedo usar de, del, de la, de los o de las correctamente.
I can use the correct form of "of the" or just plain "of" correctly (to show possession or where someone is from).

Vocabulary:
you need to know the definite articles that go with nouns, so you know how to say "of the" correctly, or just plain of.
This is like the activities we did on page 64 and 65.
There will be 5 multiple choice questions on the correct form of de for the midterm.
Then we will practice with questions and answers.
On the midterm, there will be 14 questions that you need to pick the correct answer for --3 different sections:
1.How people are, who they are, and where they are from.
2. What they are like, when is their birthday, or how old are they
3. what they like and why and who likes different things
Activities:
Figure out what the definite article (form of the) is for each of these words or if they don't need an article so we can say "of these" for the following:
fiestas, amigos, Juan, adventuras, muchacha, profesores, amor, Marta, España, estudiantes, misterio
Look through your entrevista notebook for examples of different questions and write down at least 3 questions with their answers...we will go over some soon.
Tarea: Re-do page 65 activity 33 if you didn't do well on it before and page 100, Act. #30, just fill in the blanks.. This was the assignment for December 9th.
Write three basic questions in Spanish to ask a neighbor tomorrow. One needs to start with Quién (who). As soon as we get to class we will exchange our questions and answer them.

martes (Tuesday) ----Necesitas tu libro.

Yo puedo conjugar ser, querer, jugar, ir, y verbos regulares de -ar.
I can conjugate ser, querer, jugar, ir, and regular -ar verbs.
Vocabulary:
pronouns: yo, tú, él, ella, usted, nosotros, nosotras, ellos, ellas, ustedes --noticed I skipped vosotros as it's not on our midterm and what verb goes with them
the verbs: ser, querer, jugar, ir, and regular -ar verbs.
On the midterm,
there will be sections on each of these verbs where you have to correctly conjugate them: ser, querer, jugar, and ir.
Then there will be a section where they will have a regular -ar verb conjugated in a sentence and you have to figure out what pronoun goes with it...remember our song...o, as, a, amos, áis an and what pronouns go with each
There will also be two or three sections where you read a passage in Spanish and answer questions about it, either in English or Spanish
And there will also be a section where you have to identify which form of greeting or goodbye you would use in different situations (don't forget to review vocabulary from chapter 1 (page 73)
Activities:
-turn in any re-do homework, and then exchange your question paper with a neighbor. Your name needs to be on top of your question sheet and their name needs to be on the bottom where they answer in full sentences. I will collect that soon.
