Your first assignment...This is for both Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 students.
Hola,
For your first assignment, you need to use the Spanish book's glossary or the website below to find a Spanish word to use on your Quizlet for part of your user ID.
You will use this word to represent your last name on Quizlet. So your user name will be your real first name/nickname with the Spanish word you choose that starts with the same first letter of your last name. Or you could choose a word that represents you more by making your user name your first name, your last initial your middle inital, and then the Spanish word that represents you your last name.
examples:
Jonathan Smith could be Jon Saltamontes
which means Jon Grasshopper
Nicole Franco could be Nicki Frambuesa
which means Nicki Raspberry
Jane Doe could be Jane D Fresa because Jane really likes strawberries (fresas) even though her last name doesn't start with F.
I want you to use the website below to figure out a fun and school appropriate Spanish word that starts with the first letter of your last name. Click on the letter that starts your last name from the bar of colorful letters to see vocabulary choices.
Vocabulary website:
https://www.enchantedlearning.com/languages/spanish2/Aisfor.shtml
Or if you want to look up a school appropriate word for something you enjoy, you can use our book's glossary. Go to the "online textbook" (see link above), choose book one (the red one), and in the upper right corner where it has a drop-down menu with the selection "resources," choose dictionary. Then you can see if the school appropriate word you want to use is listed, and if it is, you can use it.
Have fun!
