La semana del dos de mayo (week of 5-2)
Last week, everyone (even 8th graders who were at the baseball game had to do the Thursday assignment). My 8th graders should be handing in the assignments from Wednesday and Thursday last week. My 7th graders will just be handing in their assignment from Thursday.--You didn't see me on Friday as you were at the opera. I've listed the assignments below, but feel free to see the previous lessons tab as well.
Wednesday's assignment: Page 204, Activity 17. Just write the verb conjugated correctly. For some of the answers you may have to look at the rest of the sentence and see how other verbs are conjugated to tell how to conjugate the one you need. (If you write the extra sentences (from the directions), you can earn one extra point for this homework assignment and 1 extra point for a former homework assignment if you do it correctly--as you can't earn 12 points on one homework assignment).
Thursday's assignment: Page 203, Activity 15, just write the verb conjugated correctly.
Also, you should be studying for your 40 point verb test on May 4th.
Go to the previous lessons tab above if you need to see the notes I uploaded from last week. I informed my classes last week that if you are absent and you do the notes from the day, you can earn 1 to 2 participation points for the day you were absent.
This week you will need your "libro" (book) lunes y miercoles. On Thursday, you will need:
*coloring supplies: pencils or thin markers
*scissors
*glue stick
You will be making your own mini sombrero.
Work not completed in class will be tarea.
This is a reminder that as stated in my syllabus, I do not give credit for late work. Homework not turned in at the beginning of class when it is due, will receive 49%. However, homework that was turned in on time (and complete) may be redone for a better grade.
Tarea means homework. Examencito means quiz.
Spanish symbols: ¿áéíóúñ

No Class today. There are elections.
The test on verbs is tomorrow.
Tomorrow, May 4 there will be a 40 point quiz on verbs. You will have 23 questions, and you will have to fill in the correct conjugation of the verb on the blank.
The first section has 6 regular -ar, -er, or -ir verbs, and they are worth 1 point each.
The next section has 8 shoe verbs, worth 2 points each. These include the shoe verbs from our last verb test, and the new shoe verbs on page 202 and 204.
The final section has 9 irregular verbs, worth 2 points each. This includes hacer, ir, poner, saber, salir, traer, ver. AND it also includes our two go-go shoe verbs (tener and venir). These were on our last test as well.
To study, it would be a good idea to go over the new shoe verbs on page 202 and 204 as well as to go over the verbs we did for our last verb test. Study using the tab above Quizlets to practice verbs.
You can also practice with the practice sentences I posted on last Thursday's plans. Those were the sentences we did on white boards.
