La semana del primero de febrero (week of 2-1)
I am glad we were able to Skype with the singer we will see for our concert in April, Emir Sensini. He is from Argentina, and he answered questions for us about his life and likes.
If you have questions on your project that is due on Monday, you can always email me. :)
This week we are focusing on how to conjugate different verbs. 25% of the final exam is conjugating present tense verbs. This week you will work on your verb project that will be worth a 25 point quiz grade. The following week, when you have a sub, you will work on 2 Quizlet sets, using your corrected verb project for a 10 point quiz grade and then you will get to practice with the Quizlet sets that everyone makes up. In case you forgot Friday's assignment, it was to conjugate the verb I assigned you on the list in your email.
This week you will need your "libro" (book) todos los dias.
Work not completed in class will be tarea.
This is a reminder that as stated in my syllabus, I do not give credit for late work. Homework not turned in at the beginning of class when it is due, will receive 49%. However, homework that was turned in on time (and complete) may be redone for a better grade.
Tarea means homework. Examencito means quiz.

-I'll pass back your verbs so you can start your projects this week

I would pace yourself with your project. If you do one sentence a night, it will get done easily by the due date, and you can ask me questions as you go. If you turn in your project by Thursday, you have the opportunity to re-do it if you don't like your grade. If you turn it in on Monday when it is due, the final grade is your final grade.
