La semana del veintidós de febrero (week of 2-22)
There will be a notebook quiz this Tuesday from your in class work last Thursday. It was going to be on Monday, but as the sub combined classes, I'm giving you an extra day.
This week we are continuing to focus on how to conjugate different verbs. 25% of the final exam is conjugating present tense verbs. We will have a 40 point test on verbs on Tuesday March 1st. Use the Quizlets to practice verbs tab above to practice all of the verbs. A study guide is listed below Monday's lesson and also under the more tab above you should see the tab for Study Guides.
This week you will need your "libro" (book) todos los dias.
Work not completed in class will be tarea.
This is a reminder that as stated in my syllabus, I do not give credit for late work. Homework not turned in at the beginning of class when it is due, will receive 49%. However, homework that was turned in on time (and complete) may be redone for a better grade.
Tarea means homework. Examencito means quiz.

Study Guide:
Our next test is Tuesday, March 1st. It is for 40 points on verbs from chapters 4-6. The best way to study is to go to the above link called "Quizlets to practice verbs." These are Quizlets that classmates have created to practice conjugating these verbs and translating them. Any of those verbs can be on Tuesday's test. You need to be able to conjugate them and know what they mean.
For most of the test, you will have to fill in the blank with the correct conjugation of the verb (18 questions-regular verbs are worth 1 point each and irregular, including stem changing are worth 2 points each).
There will be a section on regular verbs (ar, er, or ir) (6 blanks for 6 points), a section on stem changing verbs (4 blanks for 8 points), and a section on other irregular verbs, including venir that is a go-go shoe verb that is an irregular stem changing verb (8 blanks for 16 points). You will also have a 10 point section on matching, picking the correct verb for the sentence, based on meaning and conjugation. Remember, you don't conjugate 2 verbs next to each other.

Tarea: Page 141 Act. 37, read the email with verbs we need to know for our test. You need to know what it means so you can answer the questions with cierto or falso.--this is what we would have done yesterday if there wasn't a snow day

So you wouldn't use the ir + a + infinitive in your answer. We started this in class.--if you do this optional assignment too, it can count for an assignment you missed this semester. If you haven't missed any assignments and you do the optional assignment, it can count as a redo for any assignment you wish. See my attachment below for what the sentences mean and how I want you to answer them. We were going to go over them in class today, but due to the snow day we did not. Siempre means always.
