This includes Thanksgiving Week (where we only met on Monday) and the week after break.
Remember our 40 point matching test is on Friday. You received your pink study guide for it on Monday the 23rd. The study guide is also on here in the more tab under study guides.
These weeks you will need your "libro" (book) everyday.
Work not completed in class will be tarea.
This is a reminder that as stated in my syllabus, I do not give credit for late work. Homework not turned in at the beginning of class when it is due, will receive 49%.
Tarea means homework. Examencito means quiz.

lunes (Monday) el treinta de noviembre --Necesitas tu libro.
Yo puedo usar verbos de -ar. I can use ar verbs. We are going to conjugate ar verbs today. Most are regular, but jugar is irregular.
Vocabulary:

ar conjugation endings
The stem is the part of the verb before the ar ending. For example cantar, the stem is cant, so the conjugation for ellos would be stem + an or cantan

usted ustedes
But jugar is different. This is a stem-changing verb. For nosotros and vosotros the stem stays the same but for all the others it changes to jueg. Stem changing verbs are sometimes called shoe verbs because the bold verbs below in the chart look kind of like a high top shoe if you outlined them all, or maybe a boot.

-video from page 98 explains ar verbs and uses lots of different sentences with hablar. Teach them the o, as, a, amos, ais, an song, and go back and sing it with the video as it changes the endings. Stop after each sentence so they can tell me what it means.

-I shared a verb chart with all of you. Each group needs to pick two verb we haven't conjugated yet and fill in the verb chart correctly with that verb and your names. You can't do hablar because we already did it, but if your group did it it would say hablar-to talk by _____, ______, y _______ and then you would fill in the conjugation chart
Tarea: p. 98, activity 26. Instead of writing the whole sentence and underlining the verb, I'd like you to write the subject and the verb only. So each one is a 2 word sentence for the answer. Example: #1 would be Yo paso.
Clase B students should work on conjugating at least 3 sections of one of the verbs on the share drive verb chart. The Clase A students worked on this in class, and I highlighted the wrong conjugations in pink.

-one drive groups need to write sentences using your ar charts. Write one sentence using a different ar verb for each of these pronouns:1. yo 2. ellas 3. ella 4. nosotros 5. usted 6. ellos 7. tú 8. ustedes

Each group member should choose their two verbs and if they are doing 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6, or 7 and 8. No one should do the same verb. Just share it with yourselves first. The title should be AR verb practice with everyone's initials at the end. Everyone is responsible for 2 sentences, so put your name by the ones you do. But everyone should check everyone elses work, and then the whole project should be shared with me. Groups with 3 will only do the first 6 sentences, groups with 4 will do all 8 sentences.
Tarea: Finish your One Drive group project & share it with me by the start of class tomorrow. YOU NEED TO TRANSLATE YOUR ANSWERS TO ENGLISH AS WELL AS WRITE THEM IN SPANISH. See the directions posted below if you forgot what you are supposed to do. It needs to be shared with me before class starts tomorrow.

2. Also put the conjugation of ir-to go in your vocabulary notebook. This is an irregular verb and it is on page 100 with jugar.
