La semana del ocho de febrero (week of 2-8)
This week you need to turn in your verb project that is worth a 25 point quiz grade on Monday (no excuses). On Tuesday, you will have a sub, and you will work on 2 Quizlet sets or Animated PowerPoint sets, using your corrected verb project for a 10 point quiz grade and then you will get to practice with the Quizlet sets that everyone makes up. In case you forgot Friday's assignment, it was page 162 Act. 7, just write the possessive adjective. Buscar means "to look for."
AND Work on your verb sentence project. It is due on Monday, no excuses.
If you are ever absent, you should check on these lessons for notes from the days class. You can also refer back to them at any time as my previous lessons are above.
This week you will need your "libro" (book) todos los dias.
Work not completed in class will be tarea.
This is a reminder that as stated in my syllabus, I do not give credit for late work. Homework not turned in at the beginning of class when it is due, will receive 49%. However, homework that was turned in on time (and complete) may be redone for a better grade.
Tarea means homework. Examencito means quiz.

martes (Tuesday) ----Necesitas tu libro.

I can make two Quizlets or PowerPoints, using my project sentences.
Today you need to sign on your computer right away.
Turn in your homework from yesterday. The substitute will check it today.

You will need to use either Quizlet or PowerPoint to create two projects using your sentences, this is worth a 10 point assessment grade.
Your first Quizlet or PowerPoint project should be named, Conjugation practice with ________ (whatever your verb is) by __________ (your name)
-This project will be all in Spanish except for the title.
-You have to write the Spanish sentence with a blank for the verb you underlined, and then the answer will be that verb.
-It needs to be correct.
So if you do Quizlet, the first entry will be the sentence with a blank and the second will be the correct verb. If you do a PowerPoint, you could do the sentence and then verb choices if you wanted it to be a type of quiz, or maybe a click for the answer to fly in. If you do a PowerPoint, it needs to be animated to help people study. You can be creative with it. I'm hoping to post the PowerPoints and Quizlets on my website for everyone to use for practice.
-PowerPoint projects need to include at least 5 pages.
Your second Quizlet or PowerPoint project should be named, Practice translating Spanish by ________ (your name)
For this project,
-you will need the sentence in Spanish and the translation in English.
-It needs to be correct.
So for Quizlet the first half of each entry will be Spanish and the second half will be English. If you do a PowerPoint, you will need to have the Spanish sentence first, and then some kind of animation to translate it to English, or multiple choice answers somehow.
-PowerPoint projects need to include at least 5 pages.
Hopefully you can test if your link works by emailing it to someone else first and making sure they can open it and check it. Ideally, you will have time to have two other students check over your work before you email it to me to make sure you corrected all of your mistakes.
-You need to send me both of these via email before you leave today.
Then you should leave one of your projects up to practice, and go around practicing different projects for the rest of the class period.
tarea: p. 164, activity 11, use each verb from the box only once. You only need to write the verbs. A word you might not know from the activity is the infinitive verb cenar. Cenar means to eat dinner. La cena is dinner.
