I plan to update this if homework changes. I will also list the question of the day: la pregunta del dia. Remember, you should have two notebooks, one for notas (notes), and one for entrevistas (interviews). If you are absent, please email me for a copy of the day's notes and look in the folders labeled with the days of the week on the board for any passed back work or missed worksheets. They are located on the counter above where you turn in your homework.
Since we do have homework EVERY day, here are some opportunities for Get Out of Homework free cards:
Someone can earn a get out of homework free card if they make a quizlet on the Expresate boxes from pages 197 and 198. Or pages 209 and 211. It needs to be correct and the link must be emailed to me. Also make sure your name is on it, so I know who you are...I don't know nicknames for Quizlet users.
If you like making posters, I will be sponsoring a service project (collecting used bath or beach towels, sheets, or blankets for All about Animals) and doing the poster could earn you a get out of homework free card as well. I know it isn't Spanish, but it is good for the school and community as it is a recycling service project. If you want to do the poster, email me and I'll give you the info you need to include on the poster, and I can provide you with the posterboard as well.
Remember, in addition to your daily assignment, part of your nightly homework is to prepare your "la pregunta del día para mañana" question of the day for the next day AND study the links. See the "website links" above, making sure you select the "Spanish 2 links" tab. However, I am leaving the "Spanish 1 links" tab up as well in case you want to spend time reviewing from last year as well.

The sample says: Sometimes Luisa is bored in math class. If you were doing the sample, you would write está or se siente as abuirrida is not a tener idiom. And then you’d write a sentence that was true for you. They said: I’m almost never bored in my classes.

You will use this worksheet to do your homework check on Wednesday (it's essentially a quiz on your homework that that counts as a homework grade). Thus, I will not collect your homework as you will need it for your notes. But if you don't do it, you will not be able to do well on the homework check, and thus will earn a poor grade on the homework. la tarea de jueves fue (was): Finish interviewing everyone if you did not. Use your data from today’s interview and write at least three true sentences from what you found out about people’s favorite restaurants. If you want to say “Many people like….” You would say:
“A muchas personas le gusta/n….”
Muchas personas = many people
Or you could say muchos estudiantes…etc.
If you want to say “_____’s favorite restaurant is” you need to literally say “the restaurant favorite of ____ is” because there are no apostrophes in español, and adjectives generally follow the noun they modify in Spanish.
Continue to review food vocabulary, the exprésate boxes, and the links from last Wed. Also make sure you can answer all the entrevista questions, including the food script with different food items for our quiz next week.

This will be in English as we're in our 4th week of class, and I want to make sure everyone knows the expectations. I have noticed that many students are turning in incomplete homework as they are not reading the directions.
Review of Spanish class expectations:
-look at the tarea y planes link at home every night to make sure you know the homework assignment, and then do it and then practice vocabulary at home too
-turn in the homework right away when you come in the next day
-be prepared to start the question of the day when you come in or to do the listening activity when you come in, unless the board says something else, make sure you have it written in your notebook before you come to class
-check your powerschool regularly so you can see if I wrote you any notes on your homework and if you didn't get credit because you forgot your name
-look over your passed back homework and quizzes at home and fix your mistakes. Ask me questions if you're not sure why you missed something or if you need help.
-if you miss 2 or more assignments, you will need to have to eat lunch in my room while you finish them. Remember, I need you to turn in all of your assignments this year.

This will be in English as we're in our 4th week of class, and I want to make sure everyone knows the expectations. I have noticed that many students are turning in incomplete homework as they are not reading the directions.
Review of Spanish class expectations:
-look at the tarea y planes link at home every night to make sure you know the homework assignment, and then do it and then practice vocabulary at home too
-turn in the homework right away when you come in the next day
-be prepared to start the question of the day when you come in or to do the listening activity when you come in, unless the board says something else, make sure you have it written in your notebook before you come to class
-check your powerschool regularly so you can see if I wrote you any notes on your homework and if you didn't get credit because you forgot your name
-look over your passed back homework and quizzes at home and fix your mistakes. Ask me questions if you're not sure why you missed something or if you need help.
-if you miss 2 or more assignments, you will need to have to eat lunch in my room while you finish them. Remember, I need you to turn in all of your assignments this year.
