La semana del siete de diciembre (week of 12-14)
This is a work in progress...
This weeks you will need your "libro" (book) todos los dias.
Work not completed in class will be tarea.
This was the tarea assigned last viernes that is due on Monday the 14th:
practice for performing your conversation. If you did not finish and print out your project before you left today, you will have to work on it this weekend with your group and bring it in on Monday. You may need a lunch pass if it still isn't finished.
Don't forget to study for Tuesday's quiz on verb conjugation. Use your blue study guide from Monday and your verb charts. I have also added Quizlet links to study conjugating ir, jugar, and bailar. (bailar is a regular -ar verb). A great way to study would be to do the fill in the blank quiz, where you have to type in the answer correctly, after you study the set. (My Quizlet sets are above under the more tab and website links.)
This is a reminder that as stated in my syllabus, I do not give credit for late work. Homework not turned in at the beginning of class when it is due, will receive 49%. However, homework that was turned in on time (and complete) may be redone for a better grade.
Tarea means homework. Examencito means quiz.
lunes (Monday) --Necesitas tu libro.
Yo puedo estudiar para el examencito y hacen algunas conversaciones.
I can study for the quiz and do some of our conversations skits.
Vocabulary:
-regular -ar verbs, jugar, and ir conjugation
Activities:
-running conjugation charts
-running sentences
-conversation skits with questions
Tarea: Study for your quiz. The homework that I'm assigning tomorrow after the quiz may be good conjugation practice for tomorrow's quiz, so you could work on that early if you like (see the tarea for martes below). However, there won't be any questions like 2 or 8 on tomorrow's quiz.
We will have a 20 point fill in the blank quiz tomorrow on verbs (regular -ar verbs, ir, and jugar). There will be 10 blanks, and each one is worth 2 points, for a total of 20 points.

jueves (Thursday) --Necesitas tu libro.
Yo puedo arreglar mi conversación con preguntas y respuestas y practicar español usando Quizlet.
I can fix my conversation with questions and answers and practice Spanish using Quizlet--including creating at least one new Quizlet with your group.
Vocabulario:
all previous vocab
Actividades:
-turn in your tarea (p. 102 #34 with just the letter answers)
-you will have a substitute, so make sure you look at my lesson link for today off of my website to make sure you do all you need to do
-First, fix all the mistakes you had on your conversation with your group. I marked them, and you need to fix them. If you didn't write 4 questions that could be answered by the conversation like you were supposed to, you need to do that today and make sure the questions are in one section and the answers are in a separate section at the end.
-Next, you have to reshare your conversation with me so it turns up new in my inbox so I can easily find it.
-Then you need to work with your group to make up at least one new Quizlet for the class. Decide who will have a Quizlet account, and work together to make sure everything is correct and spelled right. You need to send me an email with the link and the group members who worked on it together. (if I have time, I may add it to my site over break to help you with studying). Look over the Quizlets I have, and make up something new. I need Quizlets on weather, other -ar verbs, you could do practice sentences with their translations, or simply make one up on Spanish to English vocabulary that we've had to put in our notebooks, etc. Make something that you think would be helpful for our midterms of something we've learned so far but don't have a Quizlet for yet.
Finally, practice reviewing for midterms by working on Quizlets or studying with your neighbors, making up questions you think could be on the final. You may want to look at former study guides and quizlets for inspiration. You may also want to look at the vocabulary at the end of chapters 1, 2, and 3.
Tarea: No tarea for the break. However, if you want to be more prepared for your midterms, you may want to do some Quizlets once in awhile, look over your notes, practice speaking Spanish with a classmate....etc.
